narrow the options
It's so easy to get overwhelmed by the realization that, by choosing to do one thing, you're implicitly choosing not to do all the other things. Choosing to drive east means deciding not to drive west, north, or south (and who knows that you might find there!).
This paralysis was very much in the air when I headed over to the print shop this week, and so I decided to codify the reminder that, when greeted by this overwhelm, one solution is to narrow the options. I can just decide that it's ok to not do all those other things: I can do them later, or not at all. There's a freedom and release in this (which is not to say it's easy.)
