I am a Canadian

A decade ago, when I discovered that I had a letterpress cut of (former Prince Edward Island Premier) Alex B. Campbell’s signature in my collection, I realized I needed to print something that took advantage of this lucky happenstance.
I found my inspiration in his biography, a passage from a speech he delivered at the Canadian National Exhibition in 1967 that came to be called the “I am a Canadian” speech:
Let me conclude with the statement that I am a Canadian who lives in Prince Edward Island. I consider my living there a matter of choice rather than of circumstances. Most of our Island residents have, during their lifetime faced a decision to either remain on the Island or to move elsewhere. Those of us who have chosen to live in Prince Edward Island have done so believing that there is a bright future for our province and a role for us to play in its development.
