Using Her Marbles
My longtime partner Catherine Miller lived with metastatic breast cancer for more than five years, from her diagnosis in 2014, until her death in early 2020.
Early on, I realized that it was an impossible task to individually keep friends and family up to date on how things were progressing, so I started an email newsletter, and sent out regular updates.
By the time she died, I’d written more than 50,000 words. This book collects those words, and provides a look inside what a family living with incurable cancer lives through.
